We recently had a wonderful holiday on a small boat visiting several Croatian islands. Of the thirty passengers, at least ten of us were Christians, including one lovely couple, Val and Alan, who were especially helpful and thoughtful.
The day after we got home there was an email from Val (“How did she get our email address?” I wondered).” Whilst telling my friend Tricia about our Croatian Island Explorer holiday, and the lovely Christian couple we met from Ashbourne, it dawned on us that you could be the Brian and Lorraine Hawkins from Wholeness Through Christ who’ve been praying for us for years!!? If so, what a God-incidence – if only we’d known!”
If only we’d known, indeed! But then we’d have spent so long talking about people events and that everyone else would have been neglected!
I told Val that Tricia would remember another God-incidence. She and her husband had been staying in a holiday cottage for three years running, which was 100 yards from our house at Alstonefield – and they didn’t realise. When she found out our address (by chance!?) they came to see us and we spent time together whenever they visited for several years.
Don’t let anyone tell you God isn’t alive and active today!
